Basketball - One of the favorite outdoor games for children and adults, it develops coordination of movements and helps strengthen the muscles of the body. For simple sports, basketball requires a basketball and a basket. And if you need to buy a ball, then a basketball hoop with a net will not be difficult to make yourself.
The author suggests making basketball hoop with net from a piece of metal-plastic plumbing pipe, which is likely to be found on the farm. If not, it is always possible to inexpensively buy a meter of such a pipe in a hardware store.
For DIY Basketball the author used:
- thin metal-plastic pipe;
- building corner;
- wire;
- screws;
- thick kapron threads;
- drill with a thin drill;
- electrical tape.
First of all, we bend the metal-plastic pipe and drill 4 through holes with a drill at its ends - 2 for the wire and 2 for the fasteners. We make a ring from the pipe so that it is larger in diameter than a standard basketball. We tighten the ends with wire and wrap them with electrical tape.
We take a small building corner and with the help of screws of a suitable size we attach the resulting ring to it.
When the design of the basketball hoop is assembled together, we proceed to weaving the net. To do this, we cut 2-meter-long workpieces from kapron thread, fold them in half and throw them over the ring.
We install the ring in a place convenient for weaving. We proceed to the most time-consuming task - we knit the threads so that a net is obtained.
Weaving completed - basketball hoop ready! Now you can fasten it in the yard to a post or to a wall in the house, if space and environment permit, and it is fun and useful to play basketball!
