Today I will tell you how to make a harvester for picking berries do it yourself. To do this, you need a minimum of time and a maximum of enthusiasm. We will do the harvester in the easiest and easiest way. To make it, you will not need to run around the shops and look for special material - use ordinary wooden trimmings. As a result, get such a device.
The only thing you need to do exactly in size is to prepare the details. You will need 4 main parts of this size:
- bottom (220x100x13 mm),
- top (155x114x7 mm),
- the side part (210x90x7 mm), they will need 2 pieces,
- the back (100x90x7 mm).
If you want to make the harvester a little bigger - your right, but try to observe certain proportions. Try to choose all parts without cracks and without knots. Fig. 2
Now you need to skip the desired size in thickness on the thicknesser, and using a circular saw to saw out the necessary dimensions of the workpieces. Fig. 3
Sawing at the bottom is best done on a saw. The length of the cut should be 60 mm (if measured from below) and 75 mm (if measured from above). The saw is 3 mm, and the gap between the cuts is 5 mm.
If you have the opportunity, you can use a grinder or grinder to make a slight bend. If you don't, it's okay. Fig. 4
Now you will need to give a certain shape to the sidewalls. To do this, make an oblique cut: at the top should be 155 mm, at the bottom - 25 mm. It is necessary to saw off along an oblique line. At the bottom, sharpen the ends a little, and then sand all with sandpaper.
Before assembly, cover the harvester with a waterproof varnish for picking berries. In the side walls, drill holes specifically for nails. Before assembling your combine harvester (without handle and lock), coat all joints with epoxy or glue.
Now we turn to the details of iron - the handle and the latch. You will need:
- handle (220x30 mm),
- clamp (115x100 mm). Fig. 5
Cut the one you need model you can with metal scissors. You can use any pen that you yourself make or find. But on the lock you need to bend the "ears" and drill holes. Then cover everything with a waterproof bronze coating and allow to dry.
To attach the retainer, drill holes in the combine and tighten with screws. If it opens and closes freely - you did everything right. Also make holes in the handle and screw it onto the top. Fig. 6
This is the easiest way to make such a harvester. So go for it!
