Having built country home, many begin to think about buying a dog. After all, the dog will not only provide protection for the site, but will also become the best friend for the whole family. Keeping a large breed dog on a chain is not an option. The solution to the problem can be a spacious and comfortable aviary.
A dog enclosure is a must if
- you have a large breed dog, keeping such a dog in the house is difficult
-you like to receive guests, or you have small children, and the dog needs to be locked up
- The dog needs to be accustomed to a certain place of rest, where she can also take refuge during bad weather.
Aviary can be bought or made do it yourself.
The area of the enclosure is determined based on the growth of the dog. If the height of the withers of the dog is up to 50 cm, the enclosure should be at least 6 m2, with a height of 50 cm to 65 cm - 8 m2, over 65 cm - 10 m2. The height of the enclosure should provide the dog with the opportunity to freely stand on its hind legs, without touching the roof with his head. If the animal in the aviary is not constantly, but only sleeping, the size of the aviary may be smaller.
The enclosure should be located no closer than half a meter from any structure, in a dry place protected from the wind. The entrance to the courtyard and the house, and preferably the whole yard, should be well visible from this place. Otherwise, the dog will feel uncomfortable and bark.
