How to make a table on the armrest of a sofa

Step 5: After the glue has dried, we twist the screws and process it again with sandpaper.


Step 6: Next, paint the assembled stand with a stain.


Step 7: Under the hole made, with wood glue, glue a piece of plywood and clamp it with clamps. Remove excess glue.

A simple idea, but it never occurred to me. I liked the incarnation. True, I was surprised by the finishing touch when a piece of plywood was glued to the base. In my opinion, for stability, it makes sense not to glue a round piece, but to take plywood along the entire length, and not to glue, but to fasten, drowning the hats so that they do not cling to the armrest material.

You can also make it a little longer and get a place for the saucer (make a notch for it separately). Perhaps the only inconvenience is that the stand-table is not suitable for cups of different diameters.
