Friedrich former WHA tracked

Today we will examine in detail all-terrain vehicle on tracks Friedrich. This is the brainchild of Yuri Shutikov from the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
All data about this car is taken from the site

Meet the all-terrain vehicle "Frederick"

Why "Frederick" and not "Ferdinand" or something else. There were just nameplates.

Many units are taken from the "Lada". "Friedrich" former WHA on tracks.

Engine - VAZ-2103.

Two 4steps. boxes connected in series with each other, which reduces the gear ratio, which is transmitted from the engine to the engine.

Bridge VAZ-2101.

Tracked mover.

Welded frame from profile. 4 * 4

The rest of the welded parts are made of profile 2 * 4cm

No pendant. turn due to differential. Lever steering control.

All-terrain vehicle - on a caterpillar track overcomes water barriers, travels through wetlands.

All-terrain vehicle rides on a snowy field.

The cabin is half open, front windshield with wiper, rear window too.

The fuel tank is also from VAZ.

Sloth of inflatable wheels with cameras.

The air purifier draws in warm air from the muffler. The muffler is located on the wing.

Brake drums converted to disc brakes.

The equipment has already come to life and went to the test site in winter

Caterpillars on such auto-make-ups are mainly made by hand in garage conditions from a conveyor belt, tracks from corners, guides from plates. On other tracked all-terrain vehicles, I more fully disclosed these topics. Although the execution may be different, but the essence is the same.

The maximum speed of tracked all-terrain vehicles is up to 30 km per hour, but they rarely have to drive at this speed, since in most cases they move and crawl through marshes and off-road, and there, as a rule, high speed is not needed. Another good feature of these all-terrain vehicles is buoyancy. They can cross rivers and water barriers.
Cool invented! The author made such a transport that surprises, first of all, with caterpillars. This looks quite unusual, and you need to consider that this is a former WHA. You can safely be proud of such an idea, because not everyone is able to create such an apparatus. Quite a difficult job that only an experienced motorist can repeat.
What are the Friedrich caterpillars made (or borrowed from) of? What is the maximum all-terrain vehicle speed?
p.s. The BMW logo on the homemade body looks ridiculous. :-)
Of course, caterpillars are a great solution. Their patency is probably ten times higher than that of conventional wheels. Cope with any stones and pits without problems. Another advantage of the technology is the fact that the air purifier draws in warm air from the muffler, that is, energy losses are less and emissions into the atmosphere are minimized.
