And now he decided to assemble his caterpillar all-terrain vehicle according to the Barsika scheme.

For this, he prepared iron and spare parts.Construction started on January 19, 2013. Currently, the all-terrain vehicle already serves faithfully to its owner.



What was included in the initial layout of the device.
1. The engine of the VAZ-2106.
2, Transmission gearbox from the same VAZ-2106 model.
2. The second checkpoint from the Gas-53.
3. The bridge from the VAZ-2101.
4. The balancer with the axis from the trolley of the combine header (I don’t know for sure)
5. A frame welded from a profile pipe 40 * 20 * 2.5.

Eugene began construction with the frame and body of an all-terrain vehicle, so that the most dreary job of making a track is left for later.

Developed and welded the track tension mechanism. The sloth will be mounted on the axis.

Welded the axis of the balancer to the frame and welded the balancers themselves. The initial dimensions of the balancer are equal arms. It was decided to refuse them.
Cooked with different shoulders on the advice of experienced members of the forum.

Gathered balancers and put on wheels.

Grooved the rear flange from the box VAZ-2106 and Gas-53.

I drilled 4 holes d 10, now you can attach a drive shaft from UAZ (GAZ-69) to it.

Scalded boat (all-terrain vehicle-amphibian), sheet thickness 2mm. I tried on where the engine would stand.

I bought an accelerator drive cable from UAZ 220695 (UAZ 452) two meters long.

The second took for the clutch. It will be mechanical.

Welded drive wheels with the following dimensions:
standard truck (profile pipe 4x2) - length 42 cm.
star width is 15 cm.
fang height - 3.5 cm.
the distance between the base of the canine is 5.5 cm.

He took out a conveyor belt, conveyor 13 mm, 5 cords, but on one side the rubber is thicker.

Probably, for support wheels with pneumatics, this design is justified.

In general, it is difficult to find fault with Khabarovsk-1, except for the not too neat welds of the skin. :-)

The balancer reduces the axial longitudinal swing of the all-terrain vehicle, but is more complicated in technical design, so many people drive the track rollers firmly on the axis, cheaply and quickly.
The balancer method is much more effective because it allows the all-terrain vehicle to be more stable on a rocky surface. The engine from the VAZ-2106 is a great solution.
