Necessary materials
- Linen cord (length - 145-150 m, diagonal - 6-8 mm)
- Wooden slats - two pieces (90 cm), with 10 holes at a distance of 9 centimeters.
Manufacture
1. Mode our cord into segments, 20 segments of 7 meters. Do not throw away, the extra part of the rope (should remain 5 m), it will still be useful to us.
2. We lay our pieces on the table, and divide them into two little things.
3. We take our first pair, measure out approximately 1.5 meters and make a knot.
4. Thread our tails into the first, left hole.
5. Tighten to the nodule, and on the reverse side, again, fix the knot.
6. Next, take the second pair, and measure out from its beginning already 1 m. We knot, knit our tails, and again we knot. Thus, we clamp our rail.
7. We do this (1 m each), 9 pairs, and in the last 10, again measure the distance of 1.5 meters.
8. We make the hook of our hammock. To do this, take the first and tenth laces. Crosswise we pass 1 string into a 10 hole, and 10 lace into the first.
9. After we have passed our shoelaces, we again tie a knot. Our hammock will stay on these knots, so you need to tighten as tight as possible.
10. In order for the remaining tails to not “hang” in the air, they also need to be woven. To do this, we divide our 8 knots into two parts (4 on each side).
11. We direct our tails, one to one side of the other to the other.
12. In order to fasten these laces we take the remaining length (5 m), this lace can also be cut up to 2.5 meters. We take our lace and fold it in half, threading it over our laces.
13. We have formed a loop. In this eyelet we pass the tails of our cut rope, thereby fixing the laces.
14. Slightly push our loops to the sides, and pull out our shoelaces that were fastened crosswise (8 point).
15. Take the left end of our cut rope, and thread the loop from the bottom.
16. We form a ring, and into this ring we lay our rope.
17. Next, we tighten our knot, and then do the same actions.Just alternate up and down. Make at least three loops for better fixation. These actions need to be carried out both with the left tail and with the right one. The remaining tails of the rope can be hidden in the hole on the wooden rail (do not forget to tighten them too).
18. Next, weave our fabric according to the scheme.
19. In order to make it easier for you to weave it, hook your hammock on some branch or hook. Also, when weaving, you must remember that the left and right, the last ropes are guides, they should go almost exactly.
20. We take the second and third ropes, and lay them on top of each other. Making the first nodule. Remember! That rope that came from the left should go from the left.
21. Next, take the right thread and tie another knot (the right rope also goes to the right).
22. All rows go on the same level. We need to knit about 27-28 rows.
23. After we have weaved all the rows we need to repeat the steps from paragraph 3 to paragraph 17.
