The engine for such an all-terrain vehicle is quite enough, the gear ratio of the transmission was painstakingly adjusted, which made gear shifting smooth and easy.

As for the weight of the all-terrain vehicle, without the spare parts and fuel, the all-terrain vehicle weighs 1,620 kilograms, and with 30 liters of gasoline, spare parts and tools for minor repairs, its weight is 1700.

This weight has become a kind of reckoning for an excellent body, safety and reliability of an all-terrain vehicle. The base of the all-terrain vehicle was made on strong ligaments, to increase the survivability of the car, that is, reliability was in the first place for the author, and he did not particularly worry about the mass of the all-terrain vehicle, on the other hand, there are options for lightening the car, but they are rather laborious.

The metal used in the construction of the frame, hubs, discs came with a margin, especially to increase reliability.

For example, 6 sheets of metal took to the walls and ceiling of the cabin, and not a small amount was also involved in the profile pipe. In addition, the weight of the all-terrain vehicle is added by 10 glasses installed in hatches and windows. Triplex has a thickness of 8 millimeters, but as already mentioned, the reliability for the author is superior to lightness.

As a seal, an insulator of the SPLEN brand was used with a thickness of 8 mm.

The all-terrain vehicle itself turned out to be very expensive due to high-quality materials, and time-consuming.

Particularly difficult was the setting on the wheelbase of an all-terrain vehicle. Too wide tires were installed, and in order to compensate for the difference, the author had a diameter, so the body turned out to be very narrow and the work went on millimeters. Due to such a narrow frame, the layout turned out to be tight, which added not a small part of the complexity in the design. The internal width of the bottom of the boat was only 940 millimeters.

The differential design is located under the driver's seat, which is a bit in the way.
This is a minus because with a tough control style of the machine, since with smooth control the differential goes to an increased load at the peaks. For the driver, this is not a problem, but it’s difficult for passengers to sit in their places in such conditions, but all = this is an all-terrain vehicle and not a pleasure sedan.

As for the high cost of building an all-terrain vehicle, it took only half a million rubles to spare parts and materials alone, and the cost of equipment, turning work and the work of people hired to help should be added to this, since an author would have had to build such a colossus for more than one year.

More than 400 parts were sent for turning for installation on an all-terrain vehicle, and some of these operations were very difficult to carry out and required the hands of a real master. Before the author decided to take up small turning himself, he already managed to give 20 thousand rubles to a turner.

When buying stars and chains, a small slip came out, which led to even greater costs for turning.
Since Russian-made chains and stars are already narrower than import, the author had to pierce all the stars of the SKF brand of foreign production in a lathe.

The difference in thickness between the stars of Russian and imported was from two to three millimeters, and when installed in this form on a chain, the latter often jammed.

Shafts, differential, calipers, brake discs, bodies together weigh about 80 kilograms, and the base is made of fairly thick metal.

The second gear is most convenient for driving over rough terrain, while the power reserve makes it easy to drive at only two thousand engine revolutions per minute.

The KAMAZ differential is used at the base of the side turn.


The design of the rotary assembly of the all-terrain vehicle first had two attachment points, supports, but there was a strong load on the fracture, therefore, for reliability, the author added two more support points.

Turning and maneuvering is more comfortable to do with short, almost sharp frictions, this is due to the peculiarity of the differential from KAMAZ, which is not used to a smooth ride. With this maneuvering, the brakes do not heat up completely, although in any case they do not exceed normal temperature marks.

The author used the trunnion and hub of the gas-66, especially without turning them to turning, but only processed it a little for a more successful installation in the design of the all-terrain vehicle.

In the all-terrain vehicle, the hood still serves a non-standard purpose, if you stand on top and climb out into the hatch, which is designed for three people, and you can stand there without interfering, then it’s convenient to throw spinning rods from there for fishing.

The all-terrain vehicle has a pumping automatic pump from a motor boat. The body was specially made absolutely waterproof, which does not limit the time the machine stays in the water.But despite this, the body is not cast, which means it can be easily disassembled for access to the technical repair of structures, for these purposes the author made hatches that are closed with a large number of bolts, and are also coated with sealant. Thanks to this solution, the installation and dismantling of the engine and gearbox, for any work is not much effort.

The author decided to play it safe and establish a safety arc that will protect against a coup.
