To make a flute you will need:
- a pencil;
- electrical tape;
- machine tool;
- tape made of rubber;
- vise;
- a hacksaw;
- a PVC tube (length 38 cm, and an inner diameter of 2 cm. Still along the length, you can take such a pipe as the length of a person’s hand along with the forearm);
- cap for PVC (depending on the diameter of the pipe).
Flute manufacturing process
Step one. Create a stock
As the main material for creating a flute do it yourself PVC pipe will be used. You need to cut a piece of suitable length. After that, you need to make a markup where the holes will be. This is the most important moment in the manufacture of a flute, since its sound will depend on this parameter. It is also important to consider the diameter of the hole for the thumb, it should be larger than the rest.
Step Two Drill holes
Holes should be drilled using a machine. Thus, maximum accuracy is achieved. After that, the flute can be tested to see if it will sound. On the other side of the pipe, a plug for PVC pipes of a suitable size is installed.

That's all, the flute is ready. It works very simply. When air enters the pipe, it is repelled from the walls and exits through small holes. Due to the resulting turbulence, a sound appears. And by closing certain holes, the player changes the tone of the sound, and so music is born.
