One amateur angler revealed the secret of how he makes very catchy foam baits. The main secret lies in the use of special substances that will first disinfect the bait, and then give it the necessary aroma. The process of making such a bait takes no more than an hour, and everything that any angler can find at home is used as materials.
Tools and materials for creating bait:
- scissors;
- a bowl;
- a piece of foam;
- sealed bag;
- potassium permanganate;
- flavoring (attractant);
- brush;
- offset hook with a small weight;
- some water.
The process of making bait
Step one. Create a foam fish
You need to take a piece of foam and cut the workpiece from it with scissors. The result should be a classic "carrot". Next, you will need to cut the head of the bait. After that, you can install the offset hook. To attach the hook, you need to use threads, making a couple of turns around the hook along the foam in the bow. Otherwise, in contact with any obstacle, the foam will slip.
Step Two Bait disinfection
Many fishermen here may be at a loss, why should foam be decontaminated? But the author claims that it is precisely this approach that makes the bait very catchy. The thing is that microbes die during disinfection, and they are, as you know, carriers of smell.

Now comes the flavor. Foam must be thoroughly saturated with flavoring. You also need to take a sealed bag and treat it with flavor and inside. After that, the bait is placed in a bag and sealed hermetically. According to the author, now the bait should lie in a bag for at least 24 hours. Only then does it fully nourish the aroma.
