Tires are increasingly beginning to be used to create various decorations and more. These are various animals from tires, and flower beds, and much more. The author of the article came up with the idea to create a swing from tires. Such material is good in that it is easily accessible and perfectly cut. And thanks to their high strength, they can be given a variety of shapes, in this case a swing in the form of a horse.
Materials and tools:
- car tire suitable size;
- a cutting tool (scissors for metal, jigsaw, knife and so on);
- long bolts to create struts;
- drill;
- strong rope;
- and other tools.
Manufacturing process
Stage One. Swing pattern
First of all, you need to create a template for the future swing. For these purposes, it can be printed and then cut. If you look at the template from above, you can see that it has a round shape. But from the bottom it becomes clear how it should be transformed into a horse.
Tire cutting can be carried out with a variety of tools. It all depends on the thickness of the rubber and the complexity of the entire project.
Stage Two. Spacer Installation
As spacers, solid thread bolts will be used. They need to be inserted through the tire and squeezed with nuts.
Such struts should be under the seat and at the withers of the horse. Thanks to this, the swing will become tougher, and sitting on them will be much more convenient. If such bolts cannot be found, they can be replaced by rivers and screws. The main thing is to round the edges of nuts and screws, as children can be scratched while riding on such a swing.
To tighten the head, back, mane and saddle in the area of attachment of the rope, you need about three to four bolts about 5 cm long.
Stage Three. Swing hanging
For hanging such a swing, only a strong cord is used, and strong knots are tied. The cord is tied to the scruff and back of the horse's saddle.
Of course, the greatest moment in the manufacture of such a swing should be given to safety, because they will be used by children. Use wide washers and tighten the nuts well.For reliability, bolts can be threaded. Also, special attention should be paid to the cord, it should not be too thin.
Not one child will resist the temptation to ride such a swing and this will surely be the best place for his games.
These swings are designed for small children weighing no more than 50 grams.
