This tackle is quite famous among fans of hunting for such a striped predator like perch. The bait is called very simply - "Balda", and make it in home conditions will not be much work. When fishing for perch, such tackle shows the best results. What specifically attracts fish remains a mystery. Some fishermen suggest that the attention of the fish is attracted by the noise that makes the tackle during the game. The thing is that the bait is quite significant and when sharply lowered to the bottom creates a rather strong sound, this is somewhat reminiscent of a hammer blow, which is why tackle got such a name.
In addition, during the game “Balda” raises a mule from the bottom, which also attracts fish very well. By the way, it also happens that white fish does not refuse such tackle.
Most often, such a bait is made of fusible metals, such as lead or tin-lead alloys. But the author makes “Balda” from copper, brass and other similar metals, simply turning the workpiece on a lathe. The shape of the sinker can be varied, it can be a cone, a cylinder or a drop shape.
To fix the fishing line in the upper part of the sinker, you need to drill a through hole with a diameter of 1.0-1.5 mm.
Materials and tools for the manufacture of "Bulda":
- a piece of a tin rod (or other material for making a sinker);
- hooks 12-14 numbers, as well as winding rings (the size of the hooks and the weight of the sinker is selected depending on the place of fishing and the size of the expected fish);
- fishing line (0.15-0.25 mm, depending on the size of the fish);
- beads or multi-colored cambric;
- swivels with a carbine;
- ordinary threads matching the color of the beads;
- glue (insoluble in water);
- an electric drill with a drill (diameter 1-1.5mm);
- sandpaper;
- knife;
- files;
- nippers, scissors, pliers;
- awl;
- a wooden board for work.
Manufacturing process:
Step one. Hook equipment
First you need to put on a bead of black color, for this you need to put it on the hook through the sting and press it tightly to the hook ring. After this, it is desirable to fix the black bead, for this you need to wind the threads on the hook and soak them with glue. Now you can wear red beads, their number depends on the size of the hook. At the final stage, the entire "garland" is also fixed with threads and glue. You can also fix the beads using cambric.
As a result, the bait should turn out, as in the picture.The black bead imitates the head, and the red body of such a favorite food of any fish as bloodworms.
Step Two Creating a sinker
The easiest way to make a sinker is to carve it out of a piece of tin. First you need to cut the desired piece from the twig and then drill it on one side with a drill. To make drilling better, you can mark with an awl. After that, you can start turning the shape of the weight. For these purposes, you can use files, sandpaper, sharpener and so on. The shape of the sinker should become conical.
Step Three Lure assembly
Gathering gear is very simple, first you need to put a hook on the fishing line, then a sinker and again a hook. It is important not to make a mistake, the stings of the hooks should look in opposite directions from the sinker. Now, having retreated 3 centimeters of fishing line, you need to tie a knot, thereby forming a loop. The hooks and sinker should be free to move around the line. Further, even higher in the line you need to make another smaller loop, a swivel with a carbine will be fastened here. That's all, now the tackle is ready. If necessary, it can be quickly changed by unfastening the carbine.
Catching such a bait is very simple, the technique is exactly the same as when baiting. First, the tackle must be torn from the bottom, and then released into free fall, so that a blow to the bottom occurs. Between each hit you need to withstand a pause of the order of 5 seconds. You can also play along with the bait, creating wave-like movements at a distance of 2-5 cm from the bottom.
As for the technique of catching white fish, here you need to raise the bait at a distance of 50-60 cm from the bottom and play at such a height of about 60-120 seconds. Thus, it is necessary to catch the depths where fish can supposedly stand.
The fish attacks the bait almost always during a pause. If there was no bite during fishing for 5-7 minutes, you can change the hole.
