Materials and tools:
- a suitable container of a closed type (as in the picture);
- A small motor for 3-5 V (available in toys);
- a gun with hot glue;
- charging from a mobile phone (or any other DC adapter for 3-5 Volts);
- 2 plastic tubes (components of a ballpoint pen);
- pieces of plastic strips to create a rotor;
- scissors;
- drill.
Manufacturing process:
Step one. Preparation of the engine and blades
First of all, you need to prepare the engine, as well as make a rotor. The fact is that the engine will always be near water, and this can adversely affect its operation. In this regard, before installation, the motor must be treated with a WD-40 aerosol or the like. Thus, it will be already protected and will last much longer.
As for the blades, they are made of pieces of plastic. The pump will work on the principle of centrifugal force. That is, water pressure will be generated when it rotates in a plastic case. The blades are glued with hot glue to the plastic gear, which is then worn on the motor shaft. The author has a rotor with 4 blades, the depth of each is 1.3 cm.
Step Two Handset Installation
In total, the pump has two tubes, through the lower water it will be sucked into the device, and through the upper one it will exit under pressure. The length of the tubes should be around 1-2 cm. The tubes can be soldered with a soldering iron or glued with hot glue.
Step Three Device assembly and connection
The engine is installed at the highest point of the device with the shaft down. A rotor is put on the shaft, in conclusion, the lower part of the pump is closed by a lid with a tube. Now the device can be connected.As power, you can use the power supply to charge the mobile phone. Only in this case it is necessary to ensure that the motor and the power supply do not overheat. If the power supply is heating, there may not be enough power and a more powerful power source is required.
