All-terrain vehicle 4x4 "Kamazik-oka"


All terrain vehicle 4x4 on the basis of the OKI is a fairly conventional layout, interesting for its simplicity and unpretentiousness. the author made a number of upgrades before he brought the all-terrain vehicle to its finished form. As the construction of the all-terrain vehicle, the author encountered some problems that are useful for any novice all-terrain vehicle builder to know. they will be given particular attention in this article.

Materials and mechanisms used to create the all-terrain vehicle:
1) Wheels of size 1200 by 508
2) racks from vaz 2110
3) the hood of the VAZ 2101
4) pipe profile 50 to 50
5) bridges from the Volga
6) transfer case from Niva
7) bridges from the cornfield
8) transfer case from gas-69
9) gearbox from OKI.

Let us consider in more detail what problems the author encountered while building this all-terrain vehicle.

To begin with, the frame was made manually from a profile pipe with a dimension of 50 to 50.

Initially, bridges from Niva were installed on the frame, but unfortunately the wheels and loads were too strong and the bridges could not withstand, namely, the satellites vomited, so it was decided to replace the Niva bridges with the Volga bridges.

But thanks to similar wheels, the all-terrain vehicle has excellent cross-country ability.
A transfer case from Niva was also installed, which is also planned to be exchanged for a transfer case from gas-69.

A radiator is installed, switching from 06 is done in a similar way:

The transfer case was replaced by a gas-69, racks from vaz 2110 were installed, since it did not fit with standard discs, so the springs had to be removed. At the same time, the suspension stroke remained the same as on the Niva.

Replacing the transfer case from the field is due to the fact that it is rather weak and tears the case, and when the lock is turned on, there is a heavy load on the rear axle shaft, there are no such problems with gas-66 and the downshift does not crash.

In the gearbox from Oka, a differential was welded and a drive was made from one CV joint to the transfer case.
The bridges from the Volga also did not meet expectations and in the future the author plans to replace them with standard UAZ bridges.

The CV joint was drilled at 27 and a landing was made from the axle shaft. Then he was dressed hot and clamped in a machine, where he was centered and brewed. It turned out a quality and reliable connection.
