Since the author did not have a large budget for his all-terrain vehicle, and the idea of creating a car of this design did not leave him, he decided to make a budget option all-terrain vehicle with a tipping frame from improvised materials.
The all-terrain vehicle turned out to be quite cheap, and most importantly it has many modernization options with possible costs for new components and assemblies. The frame was welded by the author himself, and the old VAZ 2104, which the author had in the garage.
To create this all-terrain vehicle, the following parts and materials were required:
1) internal combustion engine from vaz 2104
2) gearbox from vaz 2104
3) bridges from the car Muscovite 412
4) fist bridge from UAZ
5) chain RPK
6) profile pipe
7) steering from vaz 2104
8) tires from gas-66 lightweight
9) pedal assembly from vaz 2104
10) disc brake and caliper from the propeller shaft of the vase.
11) stars with 18 and 16 teeth.
Let us consider in more detail the main components of the all-terrain vehicle designs.
At high speed, the all-terrain vehicle performs very well, thanks to the powerful engine at high speeds, cross-country ability on medium soils is excellent. The driver even has to buckle up, as it becomes quite difficult to stay in the saddle, especially over bumps.
To increase patency at low engine speeds and on soft soils, the author plans to install a gearbox from a front-wheel drive vase.
The author also plans to install a star for transmission in this place of an all-terrain vehicle:
RCP installed on the all-terrain vehicle frame:
For security and greater reliability of the system, the author decided to install rotation limiters:
A brake was installed on the rear of the frame:
Since the budget all-terrain vehicle and hydraulic power steering are not provided for installation, the author decided not to brew the differential in the bridge. Perhaps in the future, after installing the hydraulic amplifier, the author will still work on the differential.
As can be seen from the previous photos, the author has one radial bearing on the drive shaft, which is why the axle box of the all-terrain vehicle is. This design does not cause serious reliability. The entire assembly can turn out under serious load, so the author plans to make the drive shaft of the chain drive from the side of the star rotates in the tapered bearings of the hub from a classic vase.
Or you can install a pair of bearings that you try to spread wider. there is still an option to screw the hub from the car, although the frame dimensions are not provided for this, since there is no longer any chance to shift the gearbox and the engine to the right. Installing the hub up instead of bearings is also an interesting option.
To do this, it is necessary to cut the hub of the star, so that the chain is next to the bearing, then install a second bearing, as well as make a new housing for these two bearings.
