DIY pool made of wooden pallets

What could be better than swimming in the pool on a hot summer day? It is especially nice when this pool is located on your site.
Construction a pool is a rather expensive undertaking both in terms of time and in terms of money. But there is always a way out. Do you really want a pool? But you do not have experience in construction? Read the article, and following the instructions, you can build your pool. You will not need special skills or a building education. You and your family will be able to try out the new pool a few days after the start of construction.

To build a pool of pallets, you must:
1. 10 or more wooden pallets
2. Fasteners, and straps for fixing
3. Oilcloth and tarpaulin
4. Blankets, towels (to soften the bottom)
5. Material for laying the interior of the pool
6. Boards or bars
7. Plastic or wooden panels to create the appearance of the pool.

1. We prepare the site where the pool will be located. Level the territory. Pour sand or spread a dense layer of foam. We cover the finished area with tarpaulin and put wooden pallets around the circumference.

2. We connect the pallets to each other with boards, timber and self-tapping screws, using a screwdriver. We strengthen the design with straps.

3. We lay out the inner surface of the pool with felt and for previously prepared materials. If before installation we covered the site with sand or polystyrene, there can be less soft tissue.

4. We cover our pool with oilcloth or tarpaulin, and fix it with tape. Felt, and fabrics are also fixed, you can use a construction stapler. When fixing, be careful not to damage the waterproof canvas.

5. Outside, we cover everything with panels or other material that we have at hand. We make the appearance to our liking. We make a side from the boards around the perimeter of the circle. Pre-impregnate the board with varnish or water-based paint. Any board is suitable, but it is best to use a larch or a special (terrace board).

6. Our pool is ready, pour water, check for leaks. Everything is good? Now you can have fun on a summer day.

At first glance, about 4-5 cubic meters of water.
All this mass of water will become cloudy within 3-4 days. Turbidity is bacteria. Microorganisms will fall into the water from the atmosphere, from the walls of the pool and from the bodies of bathers.
In the middle of next week, the walls are covered with microalgae. Outwardly, this will manifest itself in the increased slippiness of all surfaces in water. At first transparent, very soon they will turn green. Even if the insects haven’t bothered happy bathers yet, get ready. Mosquitoes will appear. No, not mosquitoes, but mosquito swarms. The surface of the water will allow them to appear in close proximity to people. They will be the greater, the warmer the air temperature.
And, of course, the rotting of these strange blankets under the basin of the pool.
We need a good pump filter, we need fierce chemistry Chloritex and analogues. Chemistry for bacteria is one, for algae another.
Whoever would argue, about "no one got sick" is just a fantasy and general unpretentiousness. Glad and such a puddle. "Dear, I fixed everything!" What never happens in life, I saw children joyfully splashing around in a dirty ditch by the road.
Yes! There was no room for a discharge tap in this pool. I can remember the buckets and pumps. Then I mind - Why then put the pool on the surface? After all, draining water by gravity is the only advantage.
There will be nothing. We have a similar pool for weeks, it’s worth it, we add potassium permanganate and everything is fine, no one got sick during the whole summer.
A good and budget option, but you need to do water filtration, or change the water after 4 days, otherwise you can take a sip a little and get some kind of infection ((
