Making a universal remote control from a smartphone

We decided to devote this review to the manufacture of a remote control with our own hands.

Start, as always, by watching the author’s video

We will need:
- heat shrink;
- smartphone;
- 3.5 mm mini-jack;
- 2 infrared diodes;
- sandpaper;
- flux;
- solder;
- soldering iron.

First of all, with the help of sandpaper, it is necessary to grind the sides of the infrared diodes.

Now, using superglue, we glue the diodes together.

Next, bend the legs of the LEDs, cut off the excess and solder so that the anode from one LED is soldered to the cathode from the second and in reverse order.

Next, solder the infrared diodes to the left and right channels. According to the author of the idea, the polarity in this case does not matter, since we have already soldered the anodes and cathodes together.

Finally, we put the heat shrink on the mini-jack, isolating the soldered places.

Our device is ready. To work, you need to insert it into the headphone jack on your smartphone, download the remote control application from the official store.

I have a Xiaomi smartphone. There is a built-in infrared port. True, not all equipment worked with a regular program. I downloaded a third-party program and now from tel. All equipment is controlled on the remote.
Not only for Samsung, but the TV and smartphone should be on the same network. This is a minus. And I saw it only on TVs, but here for any equipment.
But for Samsung TVs, for example, diodes do not need to be soldered. There is a program, put on a smartphone and it turns into a remote control. (TVs on the network should be, of course, for this).
So what am I against? A person asked where to get the software I wrote.
pogranec, well, why then bgm.imdmyself.com to do different things [/ b] do it yourself [b]
They sell such things within 150 r and there you can download the application by the QR code myself I want to make such a thing
What is the program called? And then about 20 pieces went through a single one does not go ... Thank you.

We advise you to read:

Hand it for the smartphone ...
