The main task that the author of this homemade - make a solar collector with minimal cost. According to him, about 2,000 rubles were spent on the assembly of this device.

With the help of such a solar collector, it is possible to heat water for years without washing, for washing, bathing and any other business. As for winter, with the help of it you can even heat the room, according to the author.

The total estimated power of the device was 2,342 kW * h.

After assembling the collector, an experiment was conducted that showed how effective it is. To improve the circulation of water, the collector was connected to a circulation pump. The experiments were conducted in the summer from 17 to 18.00. In an hour, water in a 500-liter tank was able to warm up by 4 degrees, at an initial temperature of 24 degrees, after an hour, it rose to 28 degrees.

Materials and tools for the manufacture of the collector:
- one sheet of OSB 1250 * 2500;
- two beams with a length of 4.5 meters (40 * 50);
- a piece of polycarbonate (1200 * 2100);
- a couple of pieces of shingles;
- three sheets of the most dense foam (thickness 20 mm);
- two meters of insulation (foil);
- PVC hose (length 25 meters);
- one hundred 35 mm screws with a hat;
- perforated sheet metal (2 meters);
- spray paint black;
- approximately a liter of enamel type PF115.

Manufacturing process:

Step one. Create a collector box
First of all, you need to take the beam and cut it into the required dimensions.


Next, grooves for polycarbonate are made in the beam and the angles are adjusted.

On the corners of the beam you need to make locks.

After sealing with sealant, the assembly of the box can be considered complete.

Step Two We continue to assemble the heater base
Next, foam is placed in the box and foil insulation is glued on top of it.


Then perforated sheet is attached, self-tapping screws are used for fastening. In order to secure the hose, wire is passed through the holes.

Well, now you can lay the hose.

Step Three Paint
In order for the air inside the box to heat up intensely, the box needs to be painted.For this, black paint is used in the spray can.

As for polycarbonate, it is glued to silicone and then additionally fixed with shingles and screws.

Step Four Testing collector
Now the device can be tested. Auto connects the collector through a circulation pump to a capacity of 500 liters. Now you can see how the temperature rose in an hour.



Such a device is assembled in such a simple way. Of course, in the winter season, using it to heat the room will be quite difficult, but if you make several or one large areas of such devices, then it is quite possible that this will save energy to some extent on heating or water heating.
