Good day to all!
Preparing for my first fishing trip in 2016, I remembered that I had a pencil case with home-made baubles, which I made 3-5 years ago, short winter evenings on duty. After a short search, a pencil case was found, but the baubles in it were all oxidized. Since I don’t have any felt or goy paste at home, and this is what I always clean with lures, I had to take toothpaste with a brush. I know that sometimes "old" copper or brass works better, but a polished spinner also gives a good result.
After cleaning the second spinner, the thought came to my mind:
I periodically poison radio cards, grief radio amateur)) And here, you can try dipping the spoon in the etching solution for a short period of time. The solution for etching the boards is very budgetary, and since we don’t need to etch all the copper I took:
1.40-50g hydrogen peroxide (preheated it in a mug)
2. sprinkled 1/3 teaspoon of citric acid
3. boiled salt at the tip of a spoon (just a little)
I threw the spinner into the solution, and as soon as the bubbles began to appear, I took it out. Then he rubbed with a foam sponge and was satisfied.
In 5-7 minutes I wiped half of my pencil case.
I ask you not to throw stones into the garden, I know that there are copper-plated baubles and if you clean them like that, you will soon see iron ... I do not say that this is a panacea ...
But as an option, you can use!)
