In this article we will tell you how to quickly make a house for a small pet, using the cheapest and simplest materials.
We will need:
- a pair of small plastic basins;
- pillow;
- plastic clamps;
- adhesive tape;
- paper;
- marker.
Tools that are useful in work:
- a drill or something similar;
- small diameter drill 1/8 ";
- drill large diameter 1/4 ";
- a cylindrical nozzle on a drill wrapped in sandpaper.
Step 1. Connect the basins
- Place one basin on the other as shown and connect the handles. Secure with adhesive tape several joints.
- Mark the centers of the handles with a marker.
- Drill holes in these areas with a small diameter drill.
- Pass the clamps through these holes as shown.
- Measure the distance between the holes.
- Divide this length into three identical sectors and put crosses. In our case, the length was 24 inches, respectively, the crosses were set at around 8 and 16. Do the same with the symmetrical half.
- Drill holes in these places and thread the clamps to hold the coils firmly together.
Step 2. Outline the door
- Cut the stencil for the future door from a sheet of paper.
- Fold the paper in half across.
- Place the stencil on the connected coxae and circle with a marker. Make sure that the bend coincides with the junction of the coxae.
- Do the same with the bottom of the basin.
Step 3. Cut the door
- Use a large diameter drill and drill to cut the door. Gently cut clockwise along the line marked with a marker.
- In order to smooth the edges, use a cylindrical nozzle wrapped in sandpaper. Take your time, clean the sharp edges slowly and carefully.
Step 4. Final touches
- Put the pillow in the house.
If a pet climbed in there faster than you managed to get a camera, then everything is ready!
