Often we forget about the time when we are passionate about work, reading or a computer game. It would seem that they just made tea or made coffee, as it turns out that a cup with a cooled drink is in their hands.
Our cup warmer design helps keep the drink burning and warm in the winter cold. It is enough to put the dishes with the cooled drink on the surface and after a couple of minutes you can again enjoy hot tea or coffee.
We will need the following materials:
- a board about 27 mm thick;
- aluminum bar 12 mm thick;
- an aluminum plate 10 mm thick;
- 4 fixing screws with a diameter of 4 mm;
- beeswax;
- sandpaper.
Instruments:
-screwdriver;
-drill;
-drills (3.5mm, 12mm, 39mm);
- a jigsaw.
Step 1. We work with a tree
Draw a 10x10 cm square on the board. Then the diagonal lines from the vertices. Measure 2 cm from each corner and drill 12 mm holes with a 1 cm deep drill. In the center of the square, drill a 39 mm hole with a 1 cm deep drill. Saw the square with a jigsaw.
Step 2. We work with metal
Cut 4 elements from an aluminum bar 5 cm each. Drill a vertical hole in each 3.5 mm. Draw diagonal lines on an aluminum plate with an area of 10x10 cm. Measure 2 cm from each corner and drill holes each 3.5 mm deep.
Step 3. We work with sandpaper and wax
Polish with sandpaper aluminum and wooden elements. Wax the tree.
Step 4. Connect the elements
Insert the aluminum rods into the wood plate. Fasten the aluminum plate to the structure with screws.
The diameter of the screws is 4 mm, and the diameter of the holes is 3.5 mm, so in order to connect them you need to make some effort. But the design will hold tight.
Enjoy a hot drink! After the candle went out, the aluminum plate remains hot for about 15 minutes.
