Hello, dear home-made.
Help me please. I make a galvanized chicken feeder. The base is going to be easy enough, but here's how to attach a grid to it so that the design does not lose its “salable” appearance, I can’t imagine. I drilled holes for each wire, inserted a grid and bent the edges of the side, but I do not want to do that. Too long and dreary. What do you advise?

Make the grid a separate element. Like, such a cap will be put on the feeder after the feed has been poured into the trough ... So it’s more convenient to clean it ...
How to do it? ... Well, the first thing that comes to mind is to bend the same transverse brackets. Longitudinal (3 pcs. One on top, on the "hump" and two on the bottom, will stand on the ground) to make a tube .... say, brass, or aluminum. In the bottom with the desired interval, drill a number of holes on the side and insert the ends of the brackets into them. Cut the top along, lay one part from below, the other from above and tighten with bolts.
This is if made from wire. And if you have a welded mesh, then just bend it and that's it.
