Today I will tell you how to do do it yourself a gun that will shoot with wire dowels; in assembly it is simple enough and in order to assemble it we have to:
* Two planks of parquet.
* A pair of rubber bands, in my version this is a camera from a bicycle, for greater power the second is better to take, for example, borrowed from a fishing gum.
* A bunch of small nails.
* Bicycle camera or leather jacket.
* A spoke from a wheel, preferably from a 28-inch one, so that there is a margin.
* Electric fretsaw.
*Sandpaper.
* Corner for drawing equal angles and lines.
* Aluminum plates, if not, then a tin can also do.
* Metal scissors.
*Nail.
When all the tools and materials are available, you can proceed to the assembly stage, the first will be the marking of the dimensions of the future gun, for the most part I use exclusively a construction pencil.
Having placed two parquet floors or planks in front of us, we outline the sketch of the future product, we make even lines with a construction pencil and a corner. For greater strength of the handle, I decided to cut a small corner on the main part and leave the engagement on the handle so that it was as one.
Saw off the contoured edges with an electric jigsaw, observe safety precautions, and if everything went smoothly, you get something like a gun.
The next step, we take sandpaper and grind the components, this is the handle and the base.
After all the components are well polished, we take the scissors in metal and carefully cut out the plates from the plates, such as in the photo.
To fix them on our product, take a pair of carnations on each side and use a hammer to beat to the handle, and then to the base of the barrel. This design holds rather firmly and does not require glue.
So that our gun can shoot at the moment when the finger touches the trigger, it is necessary to equip it with a trigger mechanism, the principle of its operation is based on the clamping and unclenching of the key, which in due time will be stretched with an elastic band. In order for the trigger to hold, we nail the nail with the cut off tip, slightly stepping back from the plates, it looks like this.
After that, we remove the spoke from the wheel, bend it approximately in the middle with pliers at 90 degrees, measuring the thickness of the gun, bend the second edge, but do not gouge, so that it happens.
We put a finished knitting needle on both sides on our pestle and bend it around the nail on both sides, then bend inward and make such a hook.
The trigger is ready, but the key that will be clamped on the barrel can fly out arbitrarily, so with the help of a hammer, nails and a camera from the wheel, put her small piece under the bend of the spoke.
Under the bottom we nail the cloves observing a small angle, there will be attached an elastic band for the trigger, we tighten it three times in the clove, if there is no elastic band, a spring can be installed.
Having picked up a hacksaw in metal, we make two cuts in the front of the barrel, the gum will be held there, it is enough to simply pass it into these grooves, and hide the excess under the same nail that holds the trigger in a stretch.
On this, our homemade gun is ready, it is completely ready for work and testing, and if desired, it can be painted. You can shoot from this with various dowels, whether from a nail or wire, and the principle of its operation is very simple.
