In the harbinger of the summer, the author wanted to somewhat ennoble his personal plot. To do this, the author bought seeds for the lawn, and even planted and raised a real lawn in front of his home. However, after that there was a need for his haircut, and the author did not have a tool for this action. Therefore, this article describes how to make the simplest electric braid from improvised materials with a minimum of resources.
Materials that the author used to create the simplest electric braid:
1) electric drill
2) duralumin pipe with a diameter of 32 mm and a length of 170 cm
3) handle from the punch
4) key switch
5) cable
6) electrical tape and segments of the bicycle chamber
7) an iron strip 1-2 mm thick
8) files and sharpener
9) bolts, nuts, washers and other fasteners
Let's consider in more detail the creation of electric braids from improvised materials.
To begin with, the author nevertheless thought to go on a simpler one and buy a lawn mower. However, after reviewing several options, the author decided that the prices for such funds are slightly overstated, and the design of the product itself is very simple. Therefore, instead of searching for a store with lawn mowers, the author decided to read several articles on home-made electric braids. As a result, a fairly simple option was selected, under which the author had all the necessary materials.
As the engine for the electric braid, an old Chinese drill was chosen, which had a cartridge that allowed to fix the knife, which allowed not to invent any fasteners or nodes. Initially, in the example article, the mower was on wheels, but the author considered that it would be somewhat inconvenient, more complicated and reduces the functionality of the lawn mower in terms of the breadth of its use, due to the fact that the area of the lawn is rather small, irregular in shape and has many hard-to-reach spots .
Therefore, the author decided to make some kind of manual trimmer.
The author decided to fix the drill at the end of the pipe. The drill is attached using several aluminum strips and bolts. As a button fixation, the author decided to use a wire mechanism that will allow you to control the operation of the mower more safely. To do this, the author identified a key switch in the handle of the perforator, and secured the handle with the help of clamps in order to be able to control the height of the mower.
Next, the wiring was fixed parallel to the pipe using electrical tape and scraps of the bicycle chamber.
Then a metal strip was taken, which will serve as a knife for this lawn mower. In this strip, the author made a hole in the center, and also gave some shape to the blade with a file. Then the fastening bolt was prepared by cutting off his cheeks. The strip was secured to the bolt using nuts and engraving washers. After that, the resulting knife was sharpened on both sides to facilitate grass mowing.
The entire design of the knife was clamped into the cartridge as reliably as possible. Also, for safety, the author recommends painting the knife in some catchy color, so that it stands out more against the background of grass and it is easier to follow its work.
As a result, the author received a very cheap and easy to create electric braid design, with virtually no cost. Subsequently, the design of the braid can be improved by improving the control mechanism for turning on, off and the level of the knife, and it also makes sense to install a protective cover.
One of the advantages of this mower is its low noise level, since an electric drill motor is used.
