In order to understand how it is possible to make such a decision on the VAZ 2107, the author began to search for information on the Internet. As it turned out, he was not the only one thinking about such solutions, and there are a lot of different schemes of automatic trunk opening systems on the Internet.
To analyze them, it was decided to develop their own system, which would be quite easy to implement, reliable and not expensive in components.
Therefore, collecting all the necessary materials and freeing up some time to work in the garage, the author began to implement his ideas on the basis of his car VAZ 2107.
To begin with, the upper part of the trunk lock was cut off, or rather its plastic case. This was necessary to release the lock mechanism and be able to work with it directly.
Next, the “gun” was placed more deeply in the trunk, for this I had to increase the slot.

It was important for the author that the trunk lid not only opened slightly from the remote opening of the lock, but also rose to the end. For this, it was decided to use gas stops.
Since the gas stops for cars vary depending on the model, they have a different operating mode.You need to choose a gas stop that is suitable specifically for your trunk, otherwise there is a chance of distorting, wrinkling or breaking off the trunk lid due to the difference in travel between the stop and the lid. As a result, the author decided to choose a furniture gas emphasis 120N. which costs around 100 rubles.
