The article will discuss a way to create a simple pipe bending machine, with which you can easily bend the fittings. Such homemade greatly facilitates this kind of work.
Materials and tools for homemade:
- steel profile measuring 2.5x2.5cm - 60cm;
- steel bar (diameter 1.2 cm - 15 cm);
- steel plate measuring 7.5x10x10 cm;
- a bolt 2x5 cm;
- nut (inner diameter 2 cm);
- a pair of washers with an inner diameter of 2 cm, they will fix a metal bar;
- a drilling machine with a drill of 1.2 cm, and one guide drill with a smaller diameter;
- grinder (you will need cutting and grinding wheels);
- hammer and punch;
- welding;
- bench vise (a bending machine will be mounted on them).
Homemade manufacturing process:
Step one. Bending Lever Manufacturing
A piece of 60 cm long should be cut from the metal profile. On the one hand, places for holes should be noted. One is located at a distance of 1.2 cm, and the other is 3.5 cm. The marked centers are then rotated. Next, you need to make holes with a guide drill, the final holes are drilled with a 1.2 cm drill.
Step Two Drill the base plate
A hole should be made in the center of the plate with a guide drill. A distance of 2.5 cm should be retreated from the side 7.5 cm long and drilled in this place. Next, the hole is drilled with a 1.2 cm drill.
Step Three Mount the lever axis
At the end of a twig with a diameter of 1.2 cm, you need to make a chamfer. Next, the rod is inserted into the plate and welded. Next, you need to put on the manufactured lever on the rod and then trim it, leaving an edge of about 2.5 cm.
Step Four Mount the nut
The nut must be fixed at the price of the plate. Focusing on a side 7.5 cm long, you need to step back 2.5 cm. Next, the nut is welded to the plate.
Step Five Installation on pin lever
At the end of the rod with a diameter of 1.2 mm, you need to make a chamfer. Next, the bar inserts flush into the second hole of the lever. Well, then the bar is welded to the lever. After installing the lever on the base, the bar must be cut flush with the bar-axis.At the same stage, you need to clean all the sharp edges of the machine and screw a 2 cm diameter bolt into the nut.
That's all, now the stanochka is ready. To start using it you will need a vise. The bar is inserted into the machine and fixed with a bolt with washers. The bar is bent using a lever.
