For the ordinary craftsman, during carpentry, it may be necessary to make a curvilinear sawing of the material. And for one or several operations, buying a jigsaw can be costly, and the usual jigsaw that is familiar to us, due to the small size of the frame, makes it impossible to cut at a great distance from the edges of the part.
To solve this problem, it came to mind the manufacture of a jigsaw from an old door handle
Materials and tools:
- door knob;
- jigsaw blade;
- a nail;
- a hacksaw for metal;
- marker;
- boron machine;
The first thing I sawed off the rod from one of the handles riveted to it
Then, fixing the rod in a vise, sawed it in half.
Having tried on the blade on one half of the shaft, I drew a marker around the shank of the saw
And using a boron the machine turned a groove under the mount.
Having inserted the canvas into the groove, he assembled all the fasteners in the second horn of the handle.
And fixed the rod with a nail. Of course, you can pull it off with a small bolt, but I did not complicate it, since it was just a nail at hand. By the way, for the entire time I used the carnation, the carnation did not fail me.
I had doubts about the effectiveness of this homemade tool, but as it turned out, if you get a little used to it, then it copes with its role.
