DIY brick grill with natural air circulation

DIY brick grill with natural air circulation
Dear visitors of the site in this article, I would like to tell you how you probably already guessed about creating a brazier from brick.

Nowadays, the fashion for country life and the accompanying vacation, and what kind of vacation we have without a bathhouse and barbecue, barbecue and other yummy) Who has the money to buy a brick and hires a stove maker, I’m sure you will not be interested in my story) Because I built my barbecue from b / by red brick and do it yourself, although I don’t understand absolutely anything in masonry of stoves, I was engaged in masonry almost for the first time, but of course I had little experience, of course, the first building stood for a year, and then the thieves climbed into the cottage and broke everything (

And I made the new stove better than the old one, collecting and cleaning the brick from the old stove, I set to work. First of all, the foundation was poured, the depth was a little more than the shovel bayonet, the solution was prepared in such proportions as one part of cement and 3 parts of sand, beaten silicate brick was used as a filler, it goes well for pouring. After pouring it took several days to remove the formwork, put waterproofing and proceeded to masonry.

The masonry began strictly from the corner so that the tie turned out, raised 50 cm, made lintels and crossbars, laid a sheet of iron and laid a solid layer of mortar on top) Well, then laid the work surface directly from the holey brick.

So now what I used to work

Materials
1) used red brick
2) chipped silicate brick
3) clay
4) sand
5) cement
6) roofing material
7) corner
8) fittings
9) sheet metal

Instruments
1) mallet
2) trowel
3) hammer
4) knife
5) shovel
6) hacksaw
7) solution tank

And so the first thing I did was prepared the formwork and laid the broken brick.

Then filled the contents with a solution of 3/1.
After hardening, after several days, he laid waterproofing and proceeded to masonry.
I lay the masonry strictly from the corner.

He raised half a meter and made lintels, laid a sheet of iron on top of a layer of mortar, and laid a brick all the same.
Then I’m making a grill myself from such a brick with holes.
The brick I had was half leftover after construction, but it came in handy)
Here I actually completed with the masonry. The use of bricks with holes favorably affects the uniform burning of firewood and coal without forced air supply, that is, I do not wave a piece of plywood from the grill)))
By the way, the grill, as you noticed, has a pretty good opening in the lower part, it serves for drying firewood and storing coal.

This concludes my story, I hope you enjoyed it) Thank you for your attention!
