Frying pan for harrow disc cooking

A foreign author decided to make a pan for a gas burner out of a disc from a harrow. And although he calls it a bowler hat or a cowboy bowler hat, it looks more like a pan. The pan is designed for cooking outdoors. A gas burner is used as a source of fire. According to the author, in such a pan it is perfectly possible to cook eggs, hamburgers, steaks, etc.

Tools and materials:
-Disk harrow;
- A piece of metal;
-Gas welding machine;
-Grinder with a cutting and grinding disc;
-Gas burner with cylinder;
-Vegetable oil;

Step 1: Making a Patch
Since there is a hole in the center of the harrow disc, it must be brewed. To do this, the author measures the diameter of the hole and cuts a patch out of metal in size.

Step 2: Welding the Patch
Using gas welding, a patch is welded to fill the entire hole with metal.

Step 3: Cleaning and grinding the disc
First, the author cleans the weld, making it as even as possible.

It then polishes the disc to remove rust.

Step 4: oil pan
Before using the pan for its intended purpose, it is necessary to treat it with oil and heat it over a fire.
Kindle a gas burner.

Lubricates the pan with sunflower oil.

Sets the pan to a fire and spills oil.

The pan is ready to start cooking.

Everyone has their own taste ratings of the product, we will not argue. blush
For cooking pilaf, of course, the most convenient dish, this is a cauldron. This is the bottom, this is uniform heating throughout the area. Putting a cauldron on gas is already a mistake in the technology of preparing a good pilaf.Also put on any piece of iron (whatever it was basking in). You correctly noticed that the flame of the fire "licks" the heated object. For this reason, the cauldron should be "personally" heated by the fire of KOSTER, without intermediaries.
Well, at least for example, you came up with something more significant. Just to say, but let them think there? Maybe you will understand; I made (many similar) gates with their own characteristics, while not worse in design, but also in aesthetics, and somewhere better. The same goes for the boiler ...
But this design ("similar" to a cauldron ?! so about any pan can be said), what is its advantage or the convenience of frying? Cheap but angry?

The cauldron just has something like this.
Yes-a-Aleko is not a new idea. I did ten years ago and spied on others ...
... Why? ... Yes, hell knows ..)))) At that time in the country I built a stove from disks under a cauldron with a round bottom - when we rest there, godfather always cooks pilaf. He is “turned” on these subtleties and refuses to cook pilaf in a “pan” (if the bottom is flat), because then something is not so fried there and cooked incorrectly! ))))) (For the sake of justice, I’ll say that pilaf really is excellent!) Before that, the cauldron was simply hung over the fire.
. When I saw such an idea, I thought that it would ideally lie on my “stove”. So it turned out that he did not just a stove for a cauldron, but a “kit”))))
... The heat distribution is good if it stands on an open fire, which "licks" it. But I would not use it on a gas stove - it’s inconvenient. What is really convenient on it - to fry large pieces of meat - first “boil” in fat in the middle, and then ready, brown, rolled from fat onto a hot metal.

What for?
... Weird question. And why did you make an electric boiler or a sliding gate. One could buy ready-made ones (all the more so as ideas are not new) would be more practical and aesthetic.
What for? Today, there are various pans for sale (both in diameter and in depth), which are relatively inexpensive. In this case, heat is distributed more evenly over the entire surface, and not locally. Then there’s a gas pot for the kit. Maybe it's cool (although the idea is not new), but not practical on all issues.
And I still welded folding wire handles. And I have a disk with “petals” in the form of a “flowing flower”. And especially for this frying pan I cooked a “stove” of two wheels - it is either put on a cauldron for pilaf, or such a frying pan ....
