Recently, it has become fashionable to make watches from improvised material. Cheap watch movement from China and the dial is limited only by the flight of the master’s imagination. So our author decided to keep up with his colleagues and make a watch using a circular saw as a dial.
Tools and materials:
-Circular Saw;
- Plasma cutter;
-Acetone;
- Rust remover;
-Clockwork;
-Glue gun;
-Marker;
-Protractor;
Step 1: Remove Labels
With the help of acetone and rust remover, it erases all inscriptions from the saw.
Step 2: Layout
Using a protractor makes marks on the outer edge of the disc, every 30 degrees. At the points of marking, the marker draws numbers from 1 to 12.
Step 3: Cut Numbers
Plasma cutter on the drawn contours cuts the numbers.
Step 4: Build
A clockwork mechanism is inserted into the hole in the center of the disk after applying hot-melt adhesive to it. Fixes it with a nut. Sets arrows.
A watch with a saw blade dial is ready. Making watches from the author took about an hour. He hung the clock in the workshop.
