STEAMPEN pen stylized as a Middle Ages

STEAMPEN pen stylized as a Middle Ages
Dear site visitors, in this article you will be presented, as you probably already guessed, the technology of making a fountain pen in the style of steampunk, and even made under the Middle Ages.

And so at first it follows what all the same is steampunk and what it is eaten with) This trend came to us, of course, from abroad, and more precisely from England and America, because the very word of English origin translates literally as steam (steam) punk ( garbage) or how we are used to dignify steampunk. All this activity is mainly based on science fiction and precision mechanics, it all originated during the development of steam engines, when the steam boiler moved progress, people dreamed that soon everything would be set in motion due to the energy of the steam and humanity would finally be freed from heavy physical labor. But now, not one hundred years have passed, mankind has invented supersonic jet engines, and all kinds of hybrid types of engines, but they haven’t become less labored)

Masters working in this direction are very fond of and respect history, try to convey a piece of the past in each work. Mostly non-ferrous precious metals such as copper and brass are used for products, which over time are covered with a beautiful patina, which gives a more elegant and mysterious look.

This work is very difficult and painstaking, but the more difficult the better for the master. So, our author, once again carrying out a difficult order, decided to make a photo report for his followers, thanks to which those who want to try themselves in this business can get acquainted with everything and study all the subtleties well, but before that it is also recommended to study the list of necessary materials and tools.

Materials
1) brass tube 16 mm 14 mm
2) brass bar 4 mm
3) brass sheet 0.6 mm
4) black hornbeam tree
5) glass test tube
6) motor
7) gearbox
8) battery

Instruments
1) lathe
2) drilling machine
3) jigsaw
4) metal sheet
5) file
6) hammer
7) vernier caliper
8) pliers
9) core
10) drill

And so, first, the author prepared a fountain pen for donation.
He made a small sketch of the sketch.
Saws off the required workpiece size.
It inflicts a beautiful stamping.
Here's what happened.
Next, attaching a template, marks for subsequent drilling.
Drills the workpiece.
Removes excess.
Removes irregularities with a file.
This is the result.
Then he again makes the drawings.

Cuts out.

Fastens in place.
Then he makes a miniature sword and fastens it to the cap.

Then carries out work with the body.

By tradition, made a control weighing.
And also measured.
And as expected, he arranged a good photo shoot.

Also, the author attached the video.

That's all, I hope you enjoyed it) Thank you for your attention! Visit us often, we have something to read and see.
