Summer and autumn is the time for harvesting fruits. Apples and pears used to be dried naturally. Cut into slices and laid out in a dry, ventilated place. With the development of technology, special dryers have appeared in which not only apples and pears can be dried for the winter, but even tomatoes with watermelons. Of course, the dehydrator considered in this article is inferior to the purchased ones (lack of air heating and small capacity), but simplicity of manufacture and low cost homemade is a plus.
For the manufacture of dryers, the author used the following tools and materials: wooden box with a lid, cooler, foil, fasteners, drill.
From the end of the box, the author fixed the cooler, having previously drilled holes around its circumference.
I put foil on the bottom of the box.
Connects the cooler connectors to the power supply.
He adjusts the lid so that there is a gap in the side of the box opposite to the cooler.
Now you can put apple slices and proceed to drying them.
