DIY wooden chest

Hello to all lovers homemade, today I will tell you how the author made a homemade chest of wood, which you can repeat without much effort. Briefly about the history of creation: a chest (from a Turkic sandyk) - a case product of furniture with a hinged or removable top cover, used as a container for storing household items, jewelry and other valuable things. It has been used in a wide variety of cultures since ancient times. At present, the chest, as a household item, can be seen in Kazakh villages, Russian and Eastern European villages, as well as in various museums.

In order to start collecting our chest you need:
*Plywood.
* The jigsaw is manual.
* Drawing tools: pencil and ruler.
*Hammer.
*Sandpaper.
* Two carnations.
* Joiner's glue.

When all the materials are assembled, then we proceed to production, for convenience, I state everything step by step.

Step one.
According to the dimensions presented in the photo, we cut out the individual components of the future chest, for accuracy, use an angular ruler so that the angles are even.

Using a jigsaw, we cut out inaccessible places.

Step Two
These blanks must be sanded with sandpaper, we use the standard method, starting with large and ending with fine-grained.

Step Three
After grinding, we glue together the components using carpentry glue, we press all the parts for a long time until completely dry. Then we grind repeatedly glued surfaces, removing the remains of glue.

Step Five
At this stage, having polished all the parts, we make loops and fasten them with glue, one part to the lid and the other to the bottom of the chest.

The final step is to cut the heart out of plywood and stick it to the lid.

On this homemade chest is ready, thank you all for your attention.
