A real winch - a “horse” for a plow

I have a small plot of land for vegetables. I process it with a mill, every spring. Under the cutter, we even plant potatoes in our own way. But the earth needs to be dug up under the winter. Of course, labor is not easy. For this purpose (plowing) a plow was made that requires a "horse". A made winch became such a horse. The pulling force of which is more than enough for such work.

Having thought over the design, having calculated the parameters, I assembled (from what it was) the necessary "glands". Having estimated the bases under the necessary "set".

Located the main nodes on the base. Everything seems to be normal, I like it.

Then he began to implement the project, collecting everything in a heap.

Here's what came out of this "venture."
First of all, it was necessary to make a reliable “stop-anchor” connection with the ground.
It had to be removed (when necessary) and reliably ensure the winch was fixed under load.

The gearbox with the winch drum is “connected” by a chain.

The cable is wound around the winch drum and guided (laid) by hand using the appropriate mechanism. Without it, styling is "spontaneous", which leads to distortions and damage to the cable. And with the help of a lever, the winch operator easily controls this process.

And here is the finished field. Ready for the winter.

For "service" requires two people, a winch operator and a plowman. It is possible for one, but longer and harder.
Good luck to all.

And about the design, what's new unknown?

I did this for myself find similar?!
And I have 3 motoblocks and my mother 1 also serves me. And I plant under them and dig and spud and plow. And what about the design, what's new unknown? And such a plow was invented in the 60s and the design of the winch is the Secret of the General. Done, I'm glad for you. But we all already cultivate the land with more modern devices.

Yes, I also had such a motorcycle winch at that time. The engine from the scooter. They plowed a garden of 40 acres. It was profitable, but a long time ago. Then I made myself a mounted cutter (which was not yet on sale) from a mechanical broom, for the T-25 tractor.

It is not profitable to work with such units (although they are very “agile”) in small areas. Including the motor-block (if you used it at least once, but did not see it in the picture). The mill (clean) for this is much more convenient and "more profitable."
But the mill cannot plow, so I decided to return to the forgotten old.

Yes, and to handle a very controversial statement. As far as I understand, there is no remote control here. How, in this case, to manage it yourself. The plow must be dragged to the other side of the plot, then run to turn on the engine and run again to the plow (until it has gone somewhere). When the plow is pulled towards the device, run off again. Yes, only remotely turn on or at least turn on the delay.

And again you are wrong. When I wrote about single-user maintenance, I made a reservation .... read. Only more time is wasted ...,
And the process is as follows. Install the winch and carry the plow to the other end of the site, install it in the furrow. Go to the winch and begin to "work" as usual on the winch. The plow itself will "come" to you, as required. Without the participation of a plowman.
You just need to know that too.
The plow must be adjusted correctly. Will plow it yourself !!!

There are many designs of winches now, but each has its own peculiarity (both disadvantages and advantages). I made one for myself, find a similar one ?! She completely suits me, performing the function assigned to her.
Such devices were popular in the late 80s and early 90s (and I’m lying somewhere, I’ll take a picture in the old house). With the advent of cheap motoblocks all of them refused. And it’s not convenient to use it. 2-3 times passed and you need to drag this bandura to a new place. Yes, and to handle a very controversial statement.
