In winter, especially after temperature changes, ice forms on the roads and sidewalks of the streets of our cities. In order to be more stable on his feet under such circumstances, the author came up with how to make false spikes for shoes.

Of course, the easiest way is to screw the screws into the sole, but not everyone will want to spoil the shoes in this way. Therefore, the author thought about creating a removable anti-slip system for his shoes.
Step One: The Basis for fixtures anti slip.
Since the author had quite suitable furniture fixtures in the form of T-shaped plates with existing holes, it was decided to use them as the main platform for anti-slip devices.
Nevertheless, the plates were too large to be used in this form. Therefore, they were securely clamped in a vice and were processed using a hacksaw for metal.
Step Two: Workpiece Processing.
Having slightly shortened the plates, approximately as shown in the photograph above, the author proceeded to processing the obtained parts with a file.
In addition, the side openings were widened with a round file. The holes were oval in shape, so that it would be more convenient to attach them with ribbons in the future.
Step three: install the screws on the base.
After the base in the form of a plate was prepared, it was necessary to attach self-tapping screws to it, which would warn against slipping. To do this, the screws were screwed into smaller holes using a conventional wrench.
And to make sure the fastening is reliable, the author decided to tear them on both sides.
Fourth step: attaching to shoes.
After this, the plate was completely ready, it remains only to take care of attaching it to the boot. As fasteners, special durable tapes with fasteners were used, which were threaded into pre-prepared oblong holes of the plates.
In the photographs below, you can see the fasteners worn on boots.
As can be seen from the photos, in this case, rather large self-tapping screws were used, which are more suitable for outside urban use.To use such a device in the city, it is better to either cut off a part of the length of the screws with a saw, or use smaller screws in advance.
