DIY cardboard house for children’s games

DIY cardboard house for children’s games

Good day!

Which of us in childhood did not dream of having our own nook for games ?! As children, we tried to build a separate housing for ourselves, the so-called toy house. Often it was a shaky construction of boxes, branches, cardboard, and other improvised materials. And we proudly called this building home!

The author of this article devotes his work to this particular direction, where he will tell in detail how to build a children's shelter, namely a cozy and a bit fabulous corner for his child. This project will be very economical in terms of costs, since we will use common improvised materials.

We will need it.

Tool:
- ruler;
-pencil;
- stationery knife;
- thermal gun.

Material:
- sheets of unnecessary cardboard;
- wide tape.

To begin with, we take unnecessary cardboard, for example, boxes, we disassemble them into components, thus, determine the dimensions of the future design. Based on these sizes, we choose the size of the triangles, they will serve as the basis for the assembly of children's housing. In this work, boxes from under of furniture. They allowed to cut figures with equal sides, each equal to 50 cm, and isosceles triangles will also be used. It is not necessary to adhere to the proposed size, it can be taken at your discretion. But there is one small nuance - you need to consider that for connecting triangles with each other, you need to leave 1-2 cm for allowances. Using an office knife, we cut out the first triangular parts.

The resulting first triangle is used as a template. Just take it and apply it to another piece of cardboard, circle it with a pencil, and cut the quantity we need. We try to save cardboard as much as possible, since the design in the end result may not come out too small.

In order for the triangles to connect with each other, they need to be prepared a little. We use a ruler as a tool. We apply it to the triangle with a slight indentation of 1-2 centimeters. These will be special bends.See the photo below for more details.

When we finished bending all the triangles, we begin to assemble them together, we use hot-melt adhesive as fasteners. A pentagonal figure should turn out, we make several such structures that we connect together. It will turn out something like a snake. When collecting this house, do not forget that you need to leave a small hole for entry.

Next, you need to close the pentagons in a ring. There will be small gaps between the parts that need to be closed with equilateral triangles.

When the structure is finally assembled, you need to wait a bit until the glue dries. Next, we take a wide adhesive tape and paste over all the seams of this design, this should further strengthen the house.

Now the simplest is left!
We call the children, and delight them with their own children's home.
Positive emotions are provided!

Thank you all for your attention!

- Oh! You have come to visit us, and our “Do it yourself” is our guest. Ah, are you already familiar? It’s wonderful, but we are discussing here, we’re breaking spears. True, the authors of homemade products do not know anything about this, but maybe this is for the best?
