This article will discuss how to make a confetti gun. As conceived by the author, the gun should be remotely controlled.

Step One: Safety
The first step, the author warns of safety precautions.
-Do not point the device at people..
-Do not leave the device under pressure for a long time..
-Do not exceed safe pressure.
The author considers 40 psi (2.7 bar) as safe pressure.
Step Two: Theory
There are many ways to make an air gun, but they all have approximately the same design. A large air chamber with which, through the valve, the barrel is connected. A valve is mounted in the chamber to connect the pump, and a pressure gauge to control the pressure.
Step Three: Build
A piece of 7.5 cm cuts off a 2 "pipe.
Further, the author lays out parts of the device, except for the electrovalve and adapters to it, in the necessary order, as in the photo. PVC pipes used by the author do not solder, but stick together. Therefore, it is possible to pre-assemble all parts of the device without fixing.
Making sure all parts fit together proceeds to the next step.
Step Four: Bonding Parts
After checking that all parts are clean and dry, the author begins to glue them. To do this, he applies on all surfaces that must be glued primer in two layers. Then it applies PVC glue, connects the parts and turning them 1/4 between them, holds it motionless for about 30 seconds. Thus, it connects all parts of the device.
Step Five: Installing the Pressure Gauge and Valve
Next, you need to drill two holes in the cylinder, under the valve and pressure gauge. The diameter of the holes should be slightly less than the diameter of the threaded connections of the devices.Then it winds the FUM tape onto the threads and screw the devices into the cylinder.
The pressure gauge may not be installed if it is present on the pump.
Step Six: Verification
After assembling all parts, it is necessary to check the gun for leaks and strength. To do this, the author connects the pump to the valve and, having previously closed the tap, pumps 10 psi of air into the chamber. Finding no leaks, raises pressure to 20 psi. It checks all connections again and, in the absence of leaks, raises the pressure to 30, and after a time to 40 psi. Checks for leaks again. If everything goes well, go to the next step.
Seventh step: installing the solenoid valve
In principle, you can load confetti into a cannon and shoot, but there is one drawback in this design. To bring it into action requires the presence of a person nearby.
Therefore, the author decided to improve the design by integrating a remote control electrovalve into it. Stepping back from the crane, cuts the barrel of the gun.
Adheres adapters as in the photo.
FUM tape is wound onto a threaded connection of a sprinkler electrovalve. Then it winds the valve onto the threads of the adapters.
The solenoid valve arrow should point to the gun barrel.
Then it connects the valve to a remote control device to which a battery compartment for eight 1.5V batteries is connected.
If desired, you can put a knee on the barrel of the gun.
The gun is ready, you can start the tests.
