Hello to all lovers homemade. Convenience in everything reduces the time at times, which allows you to do much more than work in discomfort. Given this idea, the author of the homemade product decided to create a homemade stand for knives and other cutlery, since the randomness of their presence in the kitchen can not please, and looking for kitchen appliances throughout the kitchen is not at all comme il faut.
In order to make such a convenient stand for knives and cutlery you will need:
* Plywood.
* Carnations.
* Clamps.
* Glue for wood.
* Drill.
* Metal grid.
* Screws.
* Screwdriver.
* Electric fretsaw.
That's all the materials we need to create the stand.
Step one.
On the plywood sheet, mark the desired dimensions, and then use the electric saw to cut the workpieces. When working with a jigsaw, be careful and wear gloves and safety glasses. In this case, the stand will be designed for 8 knives of various sizes. After all the blanks are cut, you can proceed to the next step.
Step Two
In order for the knife to sit in its groove, it is necessary to make the sides of the rails, which are glued to each part of the stand on a special glue for wood. Also, do not forget to step back a few millimeters from the edge of the blade so that the knife simply does not simply get stuck in the groove. For greater persuasiveness and reliability of the structure, knock down the joints with small nails with a secret hat.
Step Three
Having made similarly 8 such parts of different sizes, from small to large, we proceed to gluing them into something more like a stand. It is best to glue with PVA glue, since it has long established itself when working with wood. We cut the lower part of the stand in the form of a semicircle using an electric jigsaw, then in the same way we press it to our workpieces with a clamp, prematurely coating the joint with glue.
The place for knives is ready, and now you need to make a separate compartment for the rest of the kitchen appliances.
Step Four
Using a drill from a metal mesh, we cut out the trapezoid of the required size, the dimensions of which are shown in the picture.
After that, it must be screwed onto small screws to the bottom of the stand, and to the part where the knives are installed it must be glued, then pressed with clamps.
On this homemade knife stand, as well as kitchen appliances is ready. Now you don’t have to look for knives throughout the kitchen.
Thank you all for your attention.
