"Jukebox for small cafes"

In the era of the USSR, jukeboxes stood in cafeterias and small cafes, you drop a penny and choose a musical composition. Today I want to introduce you homemade - the result of a broken kalym.

Nowadays, many cafes have LCD panels on which music videos are constantly played. The idea was that each visitor could insert his own composition, video or clip into the playlist of this panel from his smartphone (only Android) (for example, take a congratulation on his phone and make it sound). The customer was confused by the cost of the thermal printer + coin acceptor. But the task is interesting, and I already started work, so the idea was curtailed, I refused the thermal printer and the coin acceptor and that’s what happened.
There are such media players on sale (on Aliexpress - up to 2000r):

This is a full-fledged computer based on the RK3066 chip, frequency up to 1600 MHz, 2 processor, video processor, HD video, can work as a WIFI access point, read flash cards, SD cards.

We connect the media player to the HDMI input of the TV (switch the TV input to HDMI) and set the mPlay.apk file (at the end of the article) to the media player (do not open it yet). We set up an access point on the device (a small digression - on my player WIFI is weak, so it is advisable to use a public access point all the same, since all cafes now have free WIFI). We launch mPlay and select in the settings the directory where we have music clips (plays only * .mp3, * .mp4 files), in the settings we press –play -. (I forgot to say that the player has 3 connectors: one is connected to 5 volt charging, in the second - the mouse, the third remains under the USB flash drive. If you have a mini SD - then the player has a slot for a card). Android starts playing music files from the selected subdirectory. The server is installed and running.

In order to be able to transfer your clips to the server from your smartphone, install the clPlay.apk file on your smartphone (do not forget to enable the item in the settings - installation from unknown sources -). (Do not open yet)

We connect to the access point with a smartphone and start clPlay, if everything is correct, the program will show the presence of a server, select the file that we want to play on the server (the file should already be on the smartphone, taken for example using the smartphone’s camera, be sure * .mp3 or * .mp4).

Press the -send- button, wait until the indicator window disappears. File Transferred. At the end of the current clip, your clip will be played in order of priority.Theoretically, clients can be arbitrarily at the same time, in practice, the speed of file transfer depends on the number of clients and the size of the transferred files. I’ve checked on 2 smartphones so far - the speed is acceptable.

Also this player can be used with a projector (if it has HDMI). In order to try out this system, a tablet and a smartphone with Android with at least version 4 are enough.

Well, the program option is not commercial (but working). I wrote that this is generally just an idea, if someone has interest, then you can connect a coin acceptor, a thermal printer, and remote administration. Now the menu has a switch to the next and previous song
Guest, what's wrong with the question?
You did not understand. ((
Your clients can transfer files to the server for playback themselves. So? And I’ll take it and give it a file two or three hours long. And what, all this will be patiently watched?

Generally no. You can connect an external HDD to the player
Is there a limit on the duration of a clip?
