The first step was marking on sheets of plywood 16 mm, with a pencil and a ruler.
And then, using a jigsaw, it starts to cut along the intended contour.
These are the 2 blanks obtained as a result.
The surface should be carefully treated with sandpaper so that the edges become smooth and without nicks after sawing.
Further, the author glues polystyrene foam to the blank, thereby highlighting only the main elements, leaving a place under the wheels free. Styrofoam is also coated on top with fiberglass and impregnated with epoxy resin.
Then the master proceeds to the manufacture of the bumper and hood of the car, for which he uses a pine beam and a board.
The hood is made all of the same plywood 16 mm, here the author from the back made cuts every 2 cm to a depth of 2/3 of the sheet itself. This is necessary in order to bend the hood in the desired shape and secure with screws.
Another pad for stiffness is made on top, because on the hood you will need to climb into the bed itself.
For the convenience of opening the hood, the master installed furniture hinges and 2 gas lifts, since the weight was decent, almost 2 sheets of 16 mm plywood.
Further, the entire surface of the car is plastered and polished.
Then the caring Father started painting, for which he used car paint in spray cans.
The wheels were also made, all from the same plywood 16 mm, sawn with a jigsaw and brought to mind with a milling cutter, after they were puttied and painted.
Reflective stripes and numbers were glued onto the car body, LED backlighting and headlights were installed that are turned on using the remote control, and all wiring is securely hidden flush.
The bed-car has a very spacious trunk, where you can store pastel accessories, under the bed there is also a compartment.
