The wooden part of the head, except for the lower stand, is made of mahogany. The stand is made of plywood. In the process of making the headboard, the author used trimmings after making the bed.

Step One: Bottom
For ease of transportation, the head of the author was made of two parts. Unfortunately, the author does not give the size of the parts of the head. From the video presented at the end of the article it can be seen that the width and height of the lower part are equal to the width and height of the bed body. The lower part is a rectangle made of plywood. Slices the details. Gathers the bottom. For fixing uses glue, nails, screws.
Step Two: Top
The base of the upper part is a plywood sheet mounted on a rectangular box. To drill holes at an angle, the author used a conductor.
Step Three: Buttons
When covering the headboard, buttons will be used. The author cuts circles from fabric and tightens buttons.
Fourth step: hauling
At the edges of the headboard there will be a decorative mahogany insert, so all further work is done taking into account the indent from the edges (except for the bottom). He puts the buttons on the head in a certain order. Marks the places where they will be located. Drill holes in these places under the fishing line.
Lays foam on the top of the head of the head. Cuts off the excess. Sticks foam. Focusing on the holes, cuts out the recesses for buttons in the foam rubber.
Lays fabric on foam rubber. Then he starts to set buttons from the middle. Tie a thread on the ears of buttons. The second end of the thread is pulled into the holes and fixed with buttons. Pulling the fabric, fixes its edges with a stapler.
Step Five: Decorative Box
The next step, the author makes a box, which will be located around the perimeter of the head (except for the bottom). The box is made of mahogany. Some planks, in order to achieve the desired size, are fixed by connecting a tenon groove and glue. The box itself secures the headboard with nails. For fixing parts, among themselves, uses glue. After manufacturing, it processes the box with wax.
It remains to deliver parts of the head to the place and assemble.
