The history of the kaleidoscope has two centuries. Back in 1816, the Scottish physicist David Brewster, during an experiment with polarization of light, invented a kaleidoscope. In the future, the invention was patented and gained worldwide popularity. To this day, a kaleidoscope is a favorite toy of children. In this article, the author will guide us through all the stages of making a kaleidoscope. The product presented by the author is easily transformed from an ordinary classical kaleidoscope to a thaleidoscope (in which patterns are created from the reflection of particles of the world around us) and vice versa.

Step One: Making the Case
Cut the tube to the desired length. Removes burrs.
Step Two: Screws
From one edge of the tube, at an equal distance, around the circumference, drills three holes for the screws.
It cuts the threads, tightens the screws.
Step Three: Polishing
Grinds and polishes the case.
Step Four: Lens
Glues a plastic washer (on the other side of the screws).
After the puck has stuck, it inserts a lens into the housing.
Step Five: Mirror Prism
To make a prism, the author acquired mirror strips. He folded them in a triangle, a mirror inward, and fixed them with tape.
I inserted a prism inside the case.
Step Six: The Ball
Installs the ball, fixes it with screws.
The thaleidoscope is ready. Pointing it at various objects, you can get images. By replacing the ball on the capsule with the filler, a kaleidoscope is obtained from the taleidoscope. As a filler, the author used small electrical components.
