Thank you for your subjective opinion. I do not strive to turn the site into an elite, closed club for super talented residents of our sites, we are open to everyone. Our site is not depersonalized (unlike many), each self-made product has a specific author (or source site) and the reader's choice of which author to repeat who to support and who to consider “grief by the author” and “degrading”. And what such openness will lead to - no one knows or to complete degradation or will raise the site to a "new level".

And one more thing: income from advertising does not depend on imaginary "steps", it directly depends on the attendance of the resource, the activity of visitors, and the more multidirectional ideas - the more attendance, activity and reach of the target audience.

You are striving for quantity, and this is understandable, you are paid for advertising on your site - the more participants, the more they pay. In this situation, you become a hostage to advertisers, and as a result, clogging and degradation (you cannot say otherwise) of your site.
Make your site high-quality (elite) in terms of publications and, after that, you will move to the next step in paying for advertisers by advertisers.
