Step-by-step instructions for creating a flashcard case "Flashlight" do it yourself.

It all started with the fact that the author saw on one of the sites devoted to antiques and objects, an amazing-looking kerosene lamp made of brass. The master immediately decided that the flash drive would be of this form, though with minor modifications, but it was this flashlight that was taken as the basis.
From the scraps of copper tube from the air conditioner remaining after the previous work, the author creates a case. He takes the necessary section of the tube in size, puts it on a wooden block and with the help of a hammer flares the edges.
Here is a form obtained.
Saw off a brass tube.
Also bends such details.
View from above.
All parts are assembled in a heap before soldering.
The author begins to solder sequentially.
The next detail.
Soldered with a simple solder using soldering acid.
Twists the parts before soldering with a thin wire.
Place for installing flash cards.
The flash drive itself.
With such a tiny size, it has a memory of about 16 GB.
Then makes the mount.
Sets the LED.
Collects.
I inserted a flash card into the case.
Something like this.
Slightly pale)
The main thing for Modding is of course the body kit. The master decided to add a valve of this shape.
He took a piece of copper.
Drill and file made such a detail.
I cleaned it with sandpaper.
Just made a mount.
I drilled a hole in the case.
Cut the thread.
He twisted the valve into place.
Makes a cover.

And now the glass of the lantern itself, its master took it from an old work, where it did not fit in size, but here it came in handy again)

After immediately checked for performance and effect, in the twilight.
In the light.
Making a cap.
Drill holes.
Removes all unnecessary.
Here's what happened.
Bends the workpiece into a ring.
Twists and solders.
Total.
Solder a piece of plate.
Drill a hole.
Solder.
Cap and edging.
Fitting.

Glues on epoxy.
Makes fasteners.

Makes the hinge.

It collects everything into a single design and places it in an ammonia bath.
After visiting the ammonia environment, copper and brass are covered with a patina.
Excess patina is removed from the surface.
For example, the author removed it with tooth powder.
Then, as expected, he made control photographs of the finished product.

Thus, the author obtained another unique flash drive made in the form of an old lantern. The materials were taken the simplest, and the product turned out to be very notable. So learn from the masters, comprehend the intricacies of working with metal and start making handmade gizmos that cost a lot of money.
