Step-by-step instructions for building barbecue smokehouses do it yourself.

As already mentioned above, the smokehouse will be located above the level of the barbecue itself on a small hill. The barbecue oven itself is built in a dense wall from the blocks adjacent to this mound. From the main chimney a branch will be made in the direction of the smoking chamber, it will pass underground, which will create additional cooling for the smoke.
The base of the furnace is laid out of cement blocks, the voids of which are filled with cement mortar and armature is installed. The working zone of the furnace is laid out from refractory bricks on a special furnace solution or a mixture of clay and sand.
In advance, a hole is made in the wall for installing a branch of the chimney.
Then the furnace is lined with gas silicate blocks.
A metal hood is installed.
After which the author proceeds to the construction of the smoking chamber itself, a trench was previously dug and a chimney was laid under the base of the smokehouse. Then the trench is covered with earth and the creation of a small foundation for the smokehouse begins.A sand cushion of 10 cm is placed in the pit, on top of it is geotextile, then a cement mortar is poured in the composition of 1 part cement, 3 parts sand and 4-5 parts fine gravel or crumb brick, buta etc. After the foundation dries and strengthens, you can already build a smoke chamber made of brick.
In the lower part there is a chimney channel.
It is closed with a metal sheet and a pipe with a protective cap is installed.
The ceiling of the smoking cabinet is also finished with metal. Attention! In no case can you use galvanized iron, because when heated, zinc will begin to emit fumes and they will settle on food, and then, together with smoked meat, they will enter the body, which can lead to poisoning and malaise. Be careful and picky in the source materials!
For a convenient arrangement of lattices, poles with hooks, the author welded horizontally located corners to vertical.
Next, the smoking chamber is finished with a lining outside, the roof is covered (preferably with iron). The walls are covered with stain and varnish. Also, to determine the temperature inside the smokehouse, it is advisable to install a thermometer, they are inexpensive.
We connect and install the main chimney with a branch to the smokehouse.
A damper should be installed in the branch to shut off the chimney, that is, when the smokehouse is not used, the damper will be closed and smoke will not go into the cabinet.
Next, the author tightens the surface with a reinforcing mesh and fills with heat-resistant tile adhesive.
That is, the pipe will also be lined with artificial stone and will be under one with the wall.
For the manufacture of countertops, the author used artificial marble, you can also take ceramic tiles.
That's the way the master built an addition to his barbecue oven and can now smoke a large number of products, both for himself and for sale. Smoked meat and lard quickly leave the market stalls) As you can see, if you wish, it is quite possible to build your own barbecue smokehouse. You have a good example, take and do. Go for it friends!
