Step-by-step instructions for making a do-it-yourself shelf box with LED lighting.

First you need to pick up suitable planks 1-1.5 cm thick, sand it carefully, then each plank needs to be cut at an angle of 450 so that in the future to collect the box.
After that, in each board at a distance of 1.5-2.5 cm, a groove is sawn with a circular saw.
Then on the desktop we unwind and lay the masking tape with the adhesive side out, namely 2 strips parallel to each other. Board boxes are laid out on scotch tape, and the corners are smeared with carpentry glue.
Then the box is collected and fixed with masking tape.
The author also makes the bottom of the box from the board, namely, glues the boards together and pulls them together with clamps.
The back of our future shelf is coated with wood glue.
Then it is also pulled together with clamps, and relaxes only after the glue hardens.
The back side is painted with white paint.
Next, the author prepares fasteners for painting, fixing it on the board.
Prepared items are painted from a spray can.
Corners are pulled together with metal corners and wood screws.
The author made several such boxes at once, which will harmoniously complement each other.
In the lower corner of the box, a hole is drilled under the LED strip, wires are soldered to the tape itself.
The tape fits into the sawn groove.
The wires are routed through the drilled hole.
An MDF sheet was glued and cut to the back wall of the box, and a switch was also connected and installed.
The wires are hidden with masking tape, and the hole is sealed with hot glue.
Varnish the inside.
If the light is too bright, then you can make acrylic lining for the grooves with LED strip.

Somehow, neat shelves with a scruffy LED strip do not fit ... the author would have thought it worthwhile to think about the issue of hiding the tape from the eyes - and would not have blinded, and would have looked much neater ...
