If you need an economical and compact oven for the garage, cottages or other needs, you can put together such a project. Depending on the size, such a small stove can be used for a tent. This furnace is a rocket type, which means a very high temperature of fuel combustion and, as a consequence, high efficiency. Is being done homemade from sheet metal, including labyrinths in it. In addition to heating, it is also possible to cook on such a stove; it has a small cooking surface.
Materials and tools for homemade:
- sheet metal (steel at least 0.5 mm thick);
- grinder;
- welding;
- rivets;
- hammer;

- tin can;
- heat resistant paint and more.
Furnace manufacturing process:
Step one. Cut the necessary details
The author made the furnace project on his own, if necessary, all the necessary files can be downloaded at the end of the article. The main thing here is to decide on the choice of steel thickness, it should be as thick as possible inside the combustion chamber, since due to the high temperature the thin steel will quickly burn out.
Having cut out all the necessary details, you can proceed to the next step, to the assembly.
Step Two We collect the maze inside the stove
The necessary passages for gases are designed inside the furnace, which increases the efficiency of combustion, there is also a firebox and a blower. Everything is connected with rivets.
Step Three Putting the chimney
The chimney is collected in a similar way, that is, by bending the workpiece where necessary, and then we fix everything with rivets.
To hold a square pipe on the stove, the author makes a special additional part.
The first pipe that the author assembled was square. The problem here was that it was hard to extend. A round tube was later made, and empty aerosol cans came up as material. Then I had to work as a grinder and spot welding.
Step Four Thermal protection
Due to the fact that the metal pipe will be very hot, it will melt or even set fire to objects located in the immediate vicinity.To prevent this, the author places a can on the pipe at the point of contact, this allows to reduce the temperature of the pipe from 80aboutC to 30aboutFROM
Step Five Furnace tests
If you make such a small stove for a tent, then it can even be heated with candles. This is good because the candle burns for a long time, which means that you do not need to constantly throw firewood into the stove at night. As an experiment for such a furnace, a metal 0.5 mm thick was used. According to the author, this is a rather thick metal, it is too heavy and takes a long time to heat up. But, in spite of this, the furnace showed itself perfectly during testing.
On wood, the stove also works well, and does not smoke, which shows its effectiveness. Inside the tent, the temperature rises easily from +6 to +16aboutC. However, the fuel burns very quickly, literally in 10-15 minutes.
The disadvantage is still the weight of the stove, it is 4.2 kg, which does not allow climbing or going camping for long distances. But all this is solved, it is necessary to use thinner metal. Fine stainless steel is perfect, it holds high temperatures well.
