Step-by-step instructions for making a simple wooden chair do it yourself.Such a responsible matter as the creation of any furniture of course begins with a drawing and a sketch, which the author himself did at first.
For some details, thicker wood will be required and therefore the master makes the veneer, simply takes the board, greases it with wood glue and covers it with a second board from above, tightens it with clamps, leaving it in this position until the glue dries (at least 24 hours)
From the resulting laminate, the author makes blanks for the legs of the chair, previously draws a contour on the wood with a pencil.
Then it cuts along the intended contour using a stationary band saw. We also make grooves, drilling with a drill and getting a chisel.
Next, the master makes a spike.
The master makes the back of the chair as it should be of a curved shape, namely, he takes a plank and dissolves it in two so that there are 2 thin planks, then it is coated with wood glue and placed in a special wooden matrix, clamped with clamps and held in this position for 1-2 days so that the adhesive firmly adheres to the workpieces and they take the desired curved shape.
On the back obtained after molding, thorns are cut on both sides.
The seat will also be made of poplar wood, its author will make it type-setting, namely, it will make a groove and a spike in the boards, coat it with wood glue and assemble it into a single shield, tighten it with clamps.
Then all the workpieces are assembled in a single design.
That's the way the author made a simple and not expensive chair, it is quite possible to repeat in conditions
home workshop. The master made this chair with the expectation that people would like his master class and he will help them to get budget furniture.
