In his workshop, the author gathered trimmed boards of various species (pine, linden, maple, oak, apple tree, walnut) and decided to combine them and glue them together using wood glue, alternating between light and dark wood, clamped with clamps and left to dry for up to 24 hours. After the dried and glued blanks were ready, the master proceeded to sawing them into small cubes.

Further, the resulting cubes are glued together so that the position of the wood plates alternates (vertically-horizontally). Glues and tightens with a clamp, leaving it in this position for a day. As it dries, it can be processed, after which it forms the handle on a wood lathe. At the end, he drills a hole and inserts a metal rod of a screwdriver, the cavity fills with epoxy.
