Drop Trailer
Dear site visitors, from the material presented by the author, you will learn how to make a car yourself trailervan "Drop". The theme is very common in the West auto- Traveling over long distances, and just going out into the countryside, out of town, with a trailer or caravan.
Trailers of this kind are sometimes more expensive than a new car, strange, but the fact and for this reason skillful car enthusiasts assemble them on their own, even in a seemingly prosperous country like America.

This trailer was created by a resident of the northern part of New York named Bern, a former electrician, and today a pensioner). Construction meant specifically for his daughter as a gift.

Somehow, Byron was given a trailer for transporting all-terrain vehicles and he decided to modify it a bit and make a full-fledged “drop” car van, so that you could go out with him or go on a long car trip around the States.

The trailer itself is standard, as you understand, on the basis of it a residential module of timber, larch strips and plywood 6 mm was erected, mineral wool and polystyrene were used as insulation and soundproofing. There is a door and a window, also in the front part there is a galley or a mini kitchenette for cooking outdoors.

And so, let's take a closer look at how the author created his van and what exactly he needed for this.

The process of creating a trailer "Drop" do it yourself.

As already mentioned above, the van was assembled on the basis of an existing trailer for transporting snowmobiles, so I did not have to cook the frame) That's actually he.
Further, the author makes a platform of timber and larch laths. Designs the shape of the van itself by drawing a contour on the cardboard.

Then it collects the walls from the same rail and 6 mm birch plywood.

Insulates the gap between the foam sheathing, it is also a sound absorber.

Then proceeds to the interior decoration.

In the back of the trailer is located "Galley" or a small kitchen for cooking outdoors.

The galley will have an opening part.

Porch and power supply for lighting the interior of the trailer.

Trailer and jacks.

Finishing the case from the outside, used a film based on seal leather, smeared with glue and glued to the body, varnished on top.

Here is such a trailer "Drop" turned out by our author, rather budget unlike factory models that cost more than a car)) Do it yourself is very profitable, but if it turns out well and expertly, you can open your little deal;)
